Bi-coastal new music ensemble REDSHIFT plays Mason Bates’ Red River, an aural journey down the Colorado River, scored for violin, clarinet, cello, piano and electronics. The composer will be present to speak about the work and perform the electronics track with the musicians.

The concert will take place in a new art installation built especially for the festival, entitled “Illuminated Forest” at The Lab, an interdisciplinary art and performance space in the Mission.
